Boysie Villavicencio considers himself to be an artist /painter. He spends several hours of his day producing works in black, white, and all shades of grey. He also paints using a kaleidoscope of colors that tell stories and express his moods.
Once upon a time a teacher, a dog aficionado, an equestrian, a businessman, a garment manufacturer, a fashion designer, a food columnist, a writer, a student, etc.; it was with the idea of staying young that Boysie decided to enroll at the University of the Philippines College of Fine Arts to further expose himself to the Manufacture of Art.
Through the years, Boysie Villavicencio at one time or another was president of the Fashion Designer’s Association of the Philippines (FDAP); president of the Friends for Cultural Concerns of the Philippines (FCCP); chairman and president of the Metro Manila Concert Orchestra (MMCO); chairman of Erehwon Foundation Inc.; and has also been a member of the Board of Directors/ Trustees of several businesses, civic, and social organizations – including the University of the Philippines Alumni Association Inc. (UPCFAAAI).
Boysie’s works show his belief – that life, with its many colors, shapes, and interplay of light and shadows, will always be F-U-N and definitely beautiful!
