Michelangelo Mayo

Filipino-born American artist Michelangelo Mayo assembles fragmented images and fractured illustrations to narrate difficult emotions and complex mental states that are emerging or continually evolving. He has been active in art since 1977 when, as a child, he hid his first exhibition in the Philippines Association of Printmakers Gallery from his father, Lito Mayo. Michelangelo offers a unique perspective in art during this thriving time, working as a front-liner Clinical Scientist and Microbiologist against the ongoing pandemic.
