Aaron Bautista is a resident artist of the Neo Angono Artists Collective and Taring Padi Art Exchange program in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. He is a visual artist, art teacher, and a community councilor. Bautista uses uncommon practice in the context of the Angono painting tradition such as abstract and mixed media, but remains committed to his roots.
In 2012, he received from the Municipality of Angono the Natatanging Mamamayan Awards for Excellence in the Arts. He has held 14 solo exhibitions as well as 54 group exhibitions in various galleries in Angono, Manila, and abroad. He was also a participant of Art Dialogo Art Exchange Project which was exhibited in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2008. He was a finalist in the 1994 and 1995 Shell National Students Art Competitions and a top 10 finalist in the 1995 Metrobank Painting Competition. He graduated in 1994 at the University of the Philippines, College of Fine Arts major in Painting.
